  I really enjoyed staying in the Recoleta neighborhood. Lots of nice cafes and shops and more tranquil than other areas. This was a beautiful hostels. Very clean and smells wonderful!

  Excellent location in Recoleta, walking distance to the cemetery, one of the most important sights in the city. Also nearby you have the Museo de Bellas Artes, Recoleta Cultural Center and the beautiful Alvear Avenue. Many more museums, art galleries, restaurants, bars and shopping are right in the neighborhood and the subte is easily accessible as well as numerous bus lines.

  The prices are pretty good, especially for being in such a nice neighborhood in Buenos Aires. Ask about their promotion for extended stays, great option for students and travellers staying long-term.

  All the rooms are really spacious, suite-style with private or shared bathrooms. Mattresses are comfortable and each room has heat, fans or air conditioning and TV. Breakfast included, clean shared kitchen and wifi. Everything you need plus a great location in the beautiful Recoleta neighborhood.

  We had a great stay at Sudamerika, the staff were very helpful and even arranged our transfer from the airport. They offer lots of activities including tango and salsa lessons, Spanish classes, bike rental and much more!

  Highly recommended for the location alone, very exclusive, secure neighborhood. I felt safe walking to and from the hostel, even at night.

  Hostel is decent enough and in a nice area - a short walk from the Recoleta Cemetery. I had a single room, not en suite, and thought it a tad expensive at $34. The kitchen is pretty awful. But the building and the staff are nice, though I continue to protest that 11am is too early to check out in a country where you only go out at midnight.

  Yo estuve hospedando en Sudamerika hostel durante los días 10 al 24 de marzo del 2010. Realmente no me esperaba encontrar con un hostel de tan excelente calidad (lo cual incluye atención, higiene y cumplimiento). Fue una estancia muy agradable, en especial por la amabilidad y el trato de los que laboran en el hostel. Es uno de esos lugares que seguro entraría en mi lista de preferidos para hospedarme en otra ocasión. Quiero resaltar, de nuevo, la atención, la ubicación (bastante central) y el aseo. También quiero resaltar que cuentan con un buen restaurante de alimentación equilibrada. Desearía que cada vez que busco un lugar para hospedarme en mis viajes de estudiante, diera con un lugar como éste. Se los recomiendo como digno de ser uno de los mejores.

  I spent 10 days in the hostel and I am able to say that this place has more negatives than positives sides. The hostel is well located, but the street is very noisy and sometimes you even can't relax. Most of times there is a cigarette smell in the air and when people use the kitchen for cooking grill beef the smell of fry and oil spreads in all hostel, invading the accomodations and provocating nauseas. People there are used to speak out loud too. One night, at 2 a.m., I was woke up with a southing discussion between a staff guy from the period of night with a girl next door. I couldn't understand the words but it was enough to get me scarried. Even though, the place seens to be clean, I found dirties in a normal level, the water of the shower is strong and in good temperature. The breakfast is great because is served outside the hostel, in a cafe nearby.
