Hostel Alamo is a good choice to be in Mendoza. Good location, good bed, good bath, chill hostel. But the breakfast could be better.

After having a rough time in santiago de chile, i was very pleased to get to hostel that welcomed me in such a friendly way as Alamo did. my friend got sick and couldnt join me, but i just had to pay for my stay (i cancelled her room 2 days before). The patio is beautyfull and calm, you can make an Assado or just have a bottle of wine (obviosly delicios as we are in a wineregend :)). travelling alone was not a problem at all, as i got in contact with other people the same day and could join them on a wine and bike tour in maipu (which you absolutly have to do while you are there),but you can also have your peace if you want to.the beds are super comfi and i slept like a baby.I was very greatfull to meet so many friendly people here, staff and guests and would absolutly stay here again. muchisimas gracias por todo chicos!

Friendly staff, shared dorm rooms are a bit on the small side but the hostel has plenty of common areas so its not really a big deal. Overall it was a great place!

The hostel itself is in a quiet part of town, but only a 15 minute walk to Plaza Independencia. Right accross the street from a big supermarket and near tons of shops and restaurants.

Upgrade and go for the private double room if you can afford it, definitely worth it!

Simple, cozy and comfy hostel. Great location with a market right across the street. Very clean with a really nice outdoor patio area where you can enjoy a delicious asado!

We stayed there for one week, and it was one of the best hostels on our trip (3 month Argentina). Very friendly people, Cozy, nice DVD collection, a living room where you like to be.
